Our client is seeking a Senior Compliance Monitoring Analyst to join their Risk & Compliance function on a fixed-term contract starting in March 2025 for 9 months. This role is an exciting opportunity to support compliance-driven activities across the group, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Job Duties:
- Assist in the development and execution of the annual Group Compliance Monitoring Programme.
- Coordinate and perform detailed compliance monitoring reviews, liaising with stakeholders to ensure thorough evaluations.
- Document and report monitoring review findings to relevant Boards.
- Conduct 'second line' tests of operational processes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of money laundering and terrorism financing risks.
- Maintain compliance-related logs and databases, ensuring accurate records and follow-up actions.
- Implement and maintain financial crime, sanctions, and terrorism financing policies and procedures.
- Analyse legal and regulatory changes, ensuring the business remains compliant.
- Contribute to project initiatives focused on process improvement.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a compliance function.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements impacting law firms and trust company businesses in the Channel Islands.
- Proven experience in developing and administering Compliance Monitoring Programmes.
- Working towards or holding a relevant compliance-related qualification.
- Knowledge of trust and company structures and AML/CDD requirements.
- Ability to make decisions and use initiative within regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach.
