Our client is offering an 18-month fixed-term contract for an experienced Legal Secretary to provide a professional and client-focused personal assistant service to Senior Lawyers and Partners in the Corporate M&A team. This role involves a range of administrative, organisational, and secretarial tasks, supporting the efficient functioning of the department.
Job Duties:
- Typing, transcribing, and other word processing tasks.
- Managing filing systems and handling correspondence.
- Coordinating telephone and conference calls.
- Overseeing diary management for Senior Lawyers/Partners.
- Checking and processing business-related expense claims.
- Managing file organisation and archiving while capturing matter-opening data.
- Assisting with conflict checks.
- Booking meeting rooms, equipment, and catering.
- Collaborating with the Marketing and Business Development team by providing administrative support when needed.
- Proofreading and amending documents as necessary.
- Assisting in creating new clients and matters on the Document Management system.
Job Requirements:
- Previous legal secretarial or personal assistant experience.
- Familiarity with legal documentation and terminology, with prior legal environment experience being beneficial.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
- Secretarial or administration qualifications (advantageous).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional planning and organisational abilities.
- Capability to prioritise effectively and work efficiently under pressure.
