Our client is seeking a qualified Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent. This full-time position requires 37.5 hours per week, with the flexibility of hybrid working. The successful candidate will need to start as soon as possible and will play a key role in supporting management accounting, financial reporting, and audit processes.
Job Duties:
- Manage all aspects of management accounting.
- Assist with financial reporting and budgeting processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes.
- Support the audit process, liaising with auditors as required.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for senior management.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations.
- Process journal entries and reconciliations.
- Assist with tax compliance and preparation.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in management accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Experience in auditing is a plus.
- Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
