Our client, a well-established financial and fiduciary services provider, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join a busy team dealing with private clients. The role is suited to a STEP or ICSA-qualified professional with strong communication skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The successful candidate will support the Trust Manager in overseeing a team of administrators, ensuring the efficient management of client portfolios, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Duties:
- Assist in managing a team of administrators in all aspects of trust and company administration.
- Support the Team Manager with the day-to-day running of the team and its systems.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with clients and intermediaries.
- Oversee the administration of an allocated portfolio of clients, ensuring a high standard of service.
- Motivate and guide team members while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure chargeable time is properly recorded and invoices are raised in a timely manner.
- Monitor and follow up on aged debtors.
- Prepare for and attend client meetings, ensuring follow-up on action points.
- Maintain a strong understanding of risk management.
- Keep up to date with regulatory requirements relevant to clients.
- Attend meetings with clients and third parties as required.
- Ensure client due diligence is up to date.
- Oversee client reporting and project management.
Job Requirements:
- STEP or ICSA qualification.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in trust and company administration.
- Strong knowledge of trust and company structures, financial transactions, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and solve problems effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
- Professional, courteous, and proactive approach to both clients and colleagues.
- A willingness to learn new skills and mentor junior team members.
