Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Tax team in either Guernsey or Jersey. This role focuses on providing UK and Channel Islands tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients. The successful candidate will support tax compliance processes, ensure filing deadlines are met, and provide guidance to junior team members. This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis.
Job Duties:
- Provide UK and Channel Islands tax compliance services to corporate clients.
- Ensure all tax filing deadlines are met in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Analyse financial data and prepare tax returns.
- Support and monitor junior staff in tax compliance activities.
- Assist with drafting tax advice and client communications.
- Participate in marketing and industry events to enhance client engagement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Identify and manage tax risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
Job Requirements:
- ICAEW, ACCA, or other relevant tax qualification.
- Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in tax compliance or advisory roles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent risk awareness and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Proficiency in IT systems and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and methodical approach to work.
- Strong influencing and teamwork skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
