Temporary Head, Payments & Processing - 14 months

Our client is seeking an experienced professional to lead the Payments & Processing function on a temporary 14-month contract. This role is responsible for overseeing payment operations, ensuring compliance with risk controls, and optimising service delivery. The successful candidate will drive process automation, implement continuous improvements, and ensure operational efficiency within the team. Job Duties:

  • Oversee and manage the Payments & Processing function, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and service excellence.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and client experience.
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and streamline workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, risk management frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Manage resources effectively to align with business objectives and operational demands.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Lead and support the team, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance management.

Job Requirements:

  • A first degree in Business Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in payments and processing within the financial services sector.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading operational teams.
  • Proven expertise in risk management, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in driving automation and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
