Financial Planning & Analysis Lead

Our client is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Lead to play a key role in driving strategic decision-making and financial insight. This position involves managing financial planning, forecasting, and reporting to support business growth and transformation. The successful candidate will lead a team, providing mentorship and development opportunities, while working closely with senior leadership to deliver actionable insights.

Job Duties:

  • Build and lead the Financial Planning and Analysis team, providing mentorship and development.
  • Manage the preparation of annual budgets, long-term financial plans, and rolling forecasts.
  • Deliver accurate and insightful financial analysis to drive business performance.
  • Support monthly financial reporting, analysing variances against budgets.
  • Partner with senior leadership to present financial insights and recommendations.
  • Optimise financial processes, leveraging ERP systems for automation and efficiency.
  • Ensure integrity and consistency in financial data management.
  • Interpret and analyse financial information to drive business behaviour and strategy.

Job Requirements:

  • ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis within a commercial environment.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with proficiency in enterprise systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
  • Ability to bring discipline, pace, and rigour to a finance function.
  • Commercial acumen, with an understanding of accounting implications and business objectives.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, with attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing staff within a finance function and coaching team members.
  • Confident, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities.
