Our client is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Lead to drive financial insight, forecasting accuracy, and strategic decision-making. This role involves working closely with senior management to provide valuable financial analysis that supports business growth and transformation. The successful candidate will lead a team, mentor professionals, and optimise financial processes to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
Job Duties:
- Build and lead the Financial Planning and Analysis team, providing development opportunities and mentorship.
- Manage the preparation and oversight of annual budgets, long-term financial plans, and rolling forecasts.
- Provide financial insights to support business strategy, growth initiatives, and market competitiveness.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial analysis to drive business performance.
- Contribute to monthly financial reporting, analysing variances against budget to support key business decisions.
- Partner with senior leadership to present actionable insights and recommendations.
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering financial expertise for strategic and operational decisions.
- Optimise financial processes by leveraging ERP systems, automation, and simplification where possible.
- Ensure consistency and integrity in financial data management.
Job Requirements:
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification, or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in Financial Planning and Analysis within a commercial environment.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, advanced analytics tools, and enterprise systems.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with a focus on actionable outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities.
- Experience in enhancing discipline, pace, and rigour within a finance function.
- High level of numeracy and analytical thinking.
- Ability to meet targets under tight time constraints.
- Strong commercial acumen, bridging accounting implications with business objectives.
- Confident, self-motivated, and adaptable approach to work.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and business deadlines.
- Experience in leading finance teams, mentoring staff, and managing workloads effectively.
