Head of Business Implementation

Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Business Implementation to lead their Client Delivery team, focusing on Business Implementation services across the Channel Islands. This role is responsible for managing all operational aspects of client onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a seamless and compliant experience. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders and international service centres to develop an efficient and forward-looking operational model that aligns with regulatory requirements and strategic objectives.

Job Duties:

  • Lead the Business Implementation team in delivering all operational aspects of client onboarding and offboarding.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting is accurate and submitted on time while supporting due diligence and audit requests.
  • Oversee AML/KYC processes, ensuring new and existing clients remain compliant with local regulations and group standards.
  • Manage the Approved Intermediary review process, including risk rating approvals at the Client Acceptance Committee (CAC).
  • Supervise the Account Life Cycle team, ensuring adherence to regulatory and group procedures.
  • Oversee the Business Acceptance Committee (BAC) and CAC processes to mitigate regulatory risks.
  • Ensure tax documentation (FATCA/CRS) is maintained and updated as needed.
  • Communicate with clients on onboarding milestones and KYC documentation requirements, ensuring a client-focused approach.
  • Validate and implement controls, checklists, and workflows to support operational requirements.
  • Work with international service centres to ensure seamless administration of cross-jurisdictional structures.
  • Review profitability, costs, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Support the development of a target operating model that optimises business implementation services.
  • Collaborate with Client Development, Compliance, and Client Delivery teams to align services with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to setting commercial tariffs based on costs and resource allocation.
  • Ensure local teams are integrated with global Business Implementation and Private Capital initiatives.
  • Lead, develop, and retain staff, ensuring effective resource planning and career development.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training to build a capable and engaged workforce.
  • Drive accountability within the team for performance management, objective setting, and regular communication.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a securities services environment.
  • Strong management and leadership skills, with experience in team building and organisational change.
  • In-depth understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and operational risk management.
  • Proven expertise in client onboarding, KYC/AML processes, and risk assessment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement process improvements.
  • Knowledge of financial security regulations, sanctions, and embargoes.
  • Experience in business implementation, private capital funds, or change management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to plan and execute strategic initiatives while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in operations, risk, or KYC.
