Assistant Manager, Real Asset Corporate

Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to oversee a team of administrators and provide high-level administrative support to a portfolio of complex and high-net-worth clients. This role involves managing client relationships, supervising junior team members, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The position is based in Jersey, and while some agile working may be available, the role requires a strong presence in the office.

Job Duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of complex clients, including high-risk entities, and act as the primary point of contact.
  • Travel to meet with clients and liaise with intermediaries, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Delegate tasks to junior team members and review financial statements for client portfolios.
  • Supervise and support junior staff, managing workflow and conducting performance appraisals.
  • Review incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in developing and enhancing team-specific procedures.
  • Conduct high-level reviews of client accounts and financial statements.
  • Oversee board pack preparation, including drafting agendas, reports, and collating information.
  • Draft and review minutes and resolutions, ensuring timely finalisation and signing.
  • Analyse work-in-progress (WIP) for clients, process billing information, and issue invoices.

Job Requirements:

  • A relevant professional qualification (e.g., ICSA Diploma, STEP Diploma, or other Table 4 qualification).
  • A minimum of six years’ industry administration experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of local finance industry legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in coaching and developing junior team members.
  • Solid understanding of client financial statements.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage conflicting deadlines.
  • Excellent delegation, coaching, and motivational skills.
