Temporary Assistant Manager - 12 months

Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to provide parental leave cover for a period of 12 months within their Private Clients team in Guernsey. This temporary position involves overseeing a portfolio of complex fiduciary structures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering a high standard of service. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain leadership experience while working in a collaborative and professional environment.

Job Duties:

  • Administer a portfolio of complex fiduciary structures, ensuring compliance with legal and tax requirements.
  • Liaise with beneficiaries, investment advisers, bankers, auditors, property advisers, agents, and lawyers on client matters.
  • Oversee invoicing, debt management, and financial reporting in coordination with the Accounts team.
  • Maintain up-to-date client files, ensuring minutes and meeting notes are accurately drafted.
  • Support the team lead by supervising and mentoring junior team members, delegating tasks effectively.
  • Ensure all compliance review points are addressed, including FATCA, CRS, and audit-related action points.
  • Stay informed on legislative changes and industry trends, sharing relevant insights with the team.
  • Act as a B signatory for bank signing schedules up to £50,000.
  • Participate in process improvements and contribute to team projects as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a regulated finance or professional services environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with supervisory experience.
  • Solid understanding of trust and company administration, including relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Holding or working towards a relevant professional qualification such as STEP or ICSA.
  • Strong technical IT skills and the ability to drive personal development.
