Technology Governance & Risk Analyst

Our client is seeking a Technology Governance and Risk Analyst to join their Technology & Change department on a full-time basis. The purpose of this role is to support the operation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework within Technology & Change. You will assist the Senior Leadership Team by ensuring the timely preparation of all risk-related activities across the department, including the review of risk assessments, audits, and compliance processes.

Job Duties:

  • Support the Enterprise Risk Management Framework within Technology & Change
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technology-related risks
  • Coordinate the monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of controls
  • Perform and review risk assessments
  • Support coordination of internal and external audits
  • Review, update, and report on policies, procedures, and registers within the department
  • Support outsourcing and procurement processes including onboarding and annual reviews
  • Raise, review, monitor, and report on Technology & Change related risk events, including actions
  • Ensure adherence to processes, controls, and risk management protocols
  • Support compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate and carry out annual reviews for departmental policies and processes
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of activities and escalate where appropriate
  • Support and coordinate system releases

Job Requirements:

  • Strong critical thinking to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and processes
  • Proactively identifying and addressing potential risks and process improvements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and a desire to learn new skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of ISO27001, COBIT or other IT frameworks (Desirable)
  • Ability to respond to changing regulations, risks, and business needs (Desirable)
  • Prompt, effective, clear, and concise reporting (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services industry (Desirable)
  • Experience and/or proficiency in risk management / controls (Desirable)
  • Experience working within a Technology, Project Management, Risk & Controls Team/structure (Desirable)
  • Relevant Risk/IT certification (Desirable)
