Our client is seeking a Company Secretary Officer to provide company secretarial services to the Relationship Management teams for client companies. The role involves ensuring all statutory filings are completed on time, maintaining company records, and supporting the team with various company secretarial tasks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Duties:
- Submit and file documents with the Guernsey Registry, including incorporations, Guernsey Annual Validations, statutory filings, Audit Waivers, and AGM monitoring
- Maintain the registered office board
- Update the core database (Navision) with company secretarial information, including company registers
- Coordinate with other agents concerning client companies
- Assist in the filing and maintenance of Guernsey Beneficial Ownership Registers and help Relationship Managers (RMs) with the regime
- Assist RMs with queries related to client companies, including liquidations and incorporations
- Arrange and oversee the timely completion of economic substance reporting, such as Guernsey tax returns and notifications to other jurisdictions
- Ensure BVI Annual Financial Returns are completed
- Stay updated on Company Law changes and regulatory requirements, informing RMs and management
- Work proactively with internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of client data from a company secretarial perspective
- Assist with company secretarial projects as required
- Effectively and accurately manage and record own time
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of two to three years’ experience in a financial services Company Secretarial position or a role with exposure to Company Secretarial work
- ICSA (or STEP) qualified
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team while being flexible and adaptable to change
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline- and volume-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and focus
- Strong ability to drive and execute tasks, encouraging others to do the same
- Willingness to learn new skills and assist others in their development
- Ability to prioritise and focus on urgent tasks to meet deadlines
- Commitment to providing high-quality client service
- Professional approach with both internal colleagues and external parties
- Strong problem-solving skills
