Our client is seeking a qualified Senior Corporate and Fund Accountant to join their expanding Jersey office on a permanent basis. This position involves managing and supporting the client accounting team while working closely with senior management to oversee the production of all client deliverables. The role offers a diverse range of experience across corporate structures, including real estate SPV accounting, complex acquisitions, sales, refinancing transactions, and Jersey holding company reporting.
Job Duties:
- Organise and supervise the accounting team’s output, including bookkeeping, management accounts, financial statements and regulatory/tax filings
- Ensure deliverables meet required standards and accounting frameworks are aligned with statutory documentation
- Support the team in delivering client outputs and ensure internal targets are achieved
- Review bookkeeping and financial statements during the annual audit process
- Liaise with clients regarding accounting needs and maintain strong working relationships
- Identify opportunities to add value to clients and the business
- Implement efficiencies in financial reporting and accounting processes
- Provide assistance with matters related to tax, capital allowances, corporation tax and non-resident landlord filings
- Carry out any other duties or projects as requested by senior management
Job Requirements:
- Professionally qualified (e.g. ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CIMA)
- Strong technical knowledge of current accounting standards, particularly FRS 102 and IFRS
- Experience with accounting systems such as Q-core, NAV or Viewpoint
- Proven team management experience
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- High level of integrity, discretion and a collaborative approach
- Ability to review and reflect on work accurately, both independently and in a team setting
