Our client is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Group Finance Director to lead financial performance, operational consistency, and infrastructure development across its multi-jurisdictional operations. This full-time, permanent role is based in Jersey and sits at executive leadership level, reporting directly to the Chairman.
Job Duties:
- Direct the development and execution of group-wide financial strategies to ensure long-term sustainability and profitability
- Oversee consolidated financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across all business units and jurisdictions
- Ensure compliance with international financial regulations, tax requirements, and fiduciary standards
- Lead group-wide audits and manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions
- Standardise operational processes across jurisdictions to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service delivery
- Monitor and report on operational KPIs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Implement and enforce group-wide operational controls, policies, and procedures
- Lead the strategic integration of infrastructure across the group, including IT systems and facilities
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions to support regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and operational automation
- Oversee procurement, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations for infrastructure-related services
- Drive business continuity, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity planning across the group
Job Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA)
- Significant experience within a Private Equity environment, with oversight of financial services investee companies
- Proven experience managing a multi-jurisdictional trust company would be highly advantageous
- Experience in M&A within the trust company sector will also be considered
- Strong infrastructure planning and implementation experience, especially IT and operational systems
- Solid understanding of fiduciary obligations, regulatory frameworks, and compliance standards
- Demonstrable leadership skills with strong cross-cultural communication and stakeholder engagement
