Our client is seeking a Manager, Reconciliations & Creation to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This leadership role will oversee the creation, maintenance, and governance of all reconciliation activity, including Hedge Fund reconciliations, statement uploads, and risk reporting. The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, strong people management skills, and a calm, strategic approach to operational oversight.
Job Duties:
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of reconciliations, investigations, and control reports in line with business requirements
- Liaise with business lines to ensure timely investigation and resolution of outstanding items
- Lead and manage reconciliation activities, ensuring governance, transparency, and consistency across operations
- Produce regular performance metrics, exception reports, and escalation updates for key stakeholders
- Provide subject matter expertise on reconciliation tools, especially Intellisuite, and support related change initiatives
- Monitor outsourced reconciliation performance and report findings to the oversight committee
- Manage potential loss events and near misses through detailed root cause analysis and remediation recommendations
- Guide and develop reconciliation standards to support operational efficiency and risk mitigation
- Support the implementation of new reconciliation functionality, reporting capabilities, and quality assurance processes
Job Requirements:
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management experience
- Proven expertise in cash and stock reconciliations within banking or securities operations
- Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Calm under pressure and able to manage sensitive operational issues effectively
- Deep technical understanding of reconciliation systems and MIS reporting
- Previous use of Intellisuite highly desirable
- Familiarity with Crystal Reports, RIBS, Milvus, OLS, and SWIFT preferred
- Experience setting service level agreements and delivering governance oversight
