Our client is seeking a permanent, full-time Corporate Secretariat to join their communications department. This role is responsible for supporting effective governance across multiple entities by coordinating board meetings, maintaining statutory records, and facilitating communication between directors and senior management. The position offers a varied and progressive working environment and is ideal for someone with sound corporate governance knowledge looking to develop a rewarding career.
Job Duties:
- Provide statutory secretarial services for entities in Guernsey, Switzerland, Cayman, and Dubai
- Manage board meetings including scheduling, agenda preparation, and distribution of board papers
- Advise on the content and structure of board papers to ensure clarity and effectiveness
- Record and track board decisions through minute taking and communication of action points
- Maintain corporate governance records, including quarterly minute reporting and template development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with board members to ensure efficient communication between the board, committees, senior management, and non-executive directors
- Maintain and update a corporate governance improvement plan based on board evaluations
- Contribute to governance-related projects as required
Job Requirements:
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in corporate governance, ideally within a regulated environment
- Relevant professional qualification such as ICSA or STEP Diploma (or equivalent), with up-to-date CPD
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Proven ability to produce and review moderately complex documentation with high attention to detail
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate and improve processes
- Ability to manage deadlines and project timelines independently
- Commercial awareness and understanding of how governance activities impact business and client service
- Demonstrated management capabilities and personal attributes of integrity, discretion, and tact
