Our client is seeking a Senior Trust Manager to join their Guernsey office on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and administering a varied portfolio of fiduciary structures including trusts and companies for a global client base. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, international team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, client-focused services. The role requires excellent administrative, regulatory and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Job Duties:
- Administer a portfolio of trust and company structures for international clients
- Provide exceptional client service, tailoring communication to suit individual needs
- Review client structures regularly and propose enhancements where appropriate
- Liaise with external parties including lawyers, tax advisers, bankers and accountants
- Interpret and apply legal and tax advice as necessary
- Ensure full compliance with AML regulations and internal policies
- Support the development of junior staff through mentoring and guidance
- Monitor structures for regulatory, financial and administrative accuracy
- Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to best practices and procedures
Job Requirements:
- STEP qualified
- Degree in a business-related subject or at least 10 years’ trust administration experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Knowledge of AML regulations, FATCA and CRS principles
- General understanding of tax law in the UK, US, South Africa and the Middle East
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Collaborative approach and a willingness to both lead and learn
