Assistant Manager, Private Client

Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Private Client Services team on a permanent basis. This hybrid role involves administering a varied portfolio of trust and company structures while supporting the smooth management of the wider team. The successful candidate will have strong client relationship skills, experience in supervising junior staff, and a solid understanding of risk, regulatory, and statutory obligations.

Job Duties:

  • Administer and monitor a diverse portfolio of private client entities within agreed deadlines
  • Manage billing processes, ensuring recoverability and minimising write-offs
  • Oversee regular client structure reviews and identify any associated risk exposures
  • Support line managers in preparing reports and management information
  • Review and implement legal and tax advice as appropriate
  • Supervise junior team members, providing training, feedback, and performance reviews where required
  • Ensure accuracy of central diary systems, records, and client data
  • Promote the company’s services to existing clients and identify new business opportunities
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention through effective service delivery
  • Adhere to all relevant compliance and AML procedures
  • Deputise for the line manager when needed
  • Uphold company values and ensure team adherence to internal policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in trust and company administration
  • Currently studying towards or holding a relevant professional qualification (STEP or ICSA)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications
  • Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated, with a collaborative and positive approach
