Our client is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join their organisation on a fixed-term basis of 9 to 12 months to cover maternity leave. Based in Douglas, Isle of Man, this full-time role will see you oversee all financial operations and reporting activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting strategic financial planning in a fast-paced international business. This is a key role requiring strong technical knowledge, leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and control.
Job Duties:
- Manage accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger and revenue recognition
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and corporate service providers
- Lead and support the finance team
- Oversee collections and maintain relationships with banks
- Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions
- Oversee financial systems and recommend improvements
- Ensure a comprehensive and effective handover process at the end of the contract
Job Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial controller or senior finance role
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations and financial reporting
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel
- Experience in digital marketing, media or iGaming sectors is desirable
- Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver results under pressure
