Our client is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join their private wealth and corporate services team on a permanent, full-time basis. This senior role is based in Jersey and will be responsible for managing a complex portfolio of fiduciary clients, developing long-term relationships, identifying business development opportunities, and overseeing the daily operations of a team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring excellent client service while also contributing to risk management, commercial performance, and staff development.
Job Duties:
- Develop and manage relationships with high-value international clients and intermediaries
- Provide strategic input and technical expertise on trust, company and related structures
- Act as a director of managed entities and assume signing authority where appropriate
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance client service and profitability
- Travel as required to maintain and build relationships with clients and intermediaries
- Keep abreast of market developments, industry trends and regulatory changes
- Actively participate in business development initiatives and presentations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, local laws, and internal procedures
- Assist in managing risks, including operational, financial and reputational risks
- Support the preparation of financial reports, including review of accounts and budgets
- Lead and manage a team, including recruitment, performance reviews and development
- Set clear goals, delegate responsibilities and maintain motivation within the team
- Monitor utilisation and financial performance, managing work in progress and debtors
- Foster a collaborative and professional team culture aligned with company values
- Attend training, seminars and maintain ongoing professional development
Job Requirements:
- Educated to degree level, ideally in a business-related subject such as law or accountancy
- Member of a relevant professional body (e.g. STEP, ICSA)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in fiduciary services, including 3–5 years in a management role
- Qualifies as a Category B person under JFSC guidelines
- Comprehensive knowledge of offshore fiduciary services and client relationship management
- Experience handling complex trust and company structures
- Strong commercial awareness with an ability to balance client service and profitability
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage, coach and develop team members effectively
- Proficient in time management, organisation and strategic thinking
- Understanding of compliance frameworks and risk management best practice
