Client Service Director

Our client is seeking a Client Service Director for an on-site role based in Guernsey. This permanent, full-time position involves leading client service delivery across a varied portfolio, acting as the main strategic contact and ensuring the highest standards are consistently achieved. You will work closely with client service teams and management, providing leadership, regulatory oversight, and ensuring client satisfaction across all engagements.

Job Duties:

  • Act as the primary strategic contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery
  • Oversee the resolution of all client issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Attend and present at all client board meetings
  • Maintain effective communication between client service teams and broader business areas
  • Ensure client compliance with relevant laws and regulatory obligations
  • Act as an authorised signatory where required
  • Review and approve business plans and regulatory submissions for new and existing clients
  • Review and countersign policy documents, cover notes, endorsements, and related contractual documentation
  • Approve board packs for accuracy and completeness
  • Review and sign off annual returns as General Representative prior to submission to the GFSC
  • Approve outgoing fee quotes and resolve any related issues
  • Serve as Director or Alternate Director on client entities where required
  • Ensure full adherence to internal policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional and ethical approach to all work
  • Contribute positively to internal meetings, initiatives, and collaborative projects
  • Complete timesheets accurately and in a timely manner
  • Represent the business at industry forums and associations such as GIIA
  • Identify opportunities for new services and enhanced client offerings
  • Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and project delivery as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Professionally qualified with a recognised industry designation
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a captive insurance environment
  • Strong experience reviewing and interpreting technical documentation
  • Ability to perform accurately under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated relationship management expertise with high-profile clients
  • Strategic mindset combined with exceptional attention to detail
