Our client is seeking 2 reliable Couriers to join their dedicated healthcare service on a permanent, part-time job share basis. This role involves the safe, confidential, and timely transportation of medical materials, documentation, and other essential items between GP practices and pharmacies across Guernsey.
Job Duties:
- Collect and deliver surgery post, pathology samples, medical documents and clinical items between GP practices and healthcare services according to the rota
- Ensure secure and prompt transportation, adhering to data protection and infection control protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, including times, recipients and any incidents
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report maintenance issues to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Liaise with practice staff and laboratories to coordinate efficient collections and deliveries
- Support emergency courier runs when required
- Provide holiday cover for the other part time Courier
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks in support of operational needs
Job Requirements:
- Valid driving licence and clean driving record
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good knowledge of Guernsey’s geography and route planning
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles
- At least one year’s experience in a courier, logistics, or healthcare support role is preferred
