Our client is seeking a temporary User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Assistant to support the rollout of a new mobile network infrastructure. This part-time role is for 20 hours per week initially, with the potential to increase to 30–35 hours per week from early to mid-September, continuing through to the end of October. You will support the coordination and execution of testing processes and gain insight into how a mobile network functions in a client–vendor environment.
Job Duties:
- Attend daily and weekly project meetings
- Prepare and organise all required equipment for each test cycle
- Manage and track phones and devices, ensuring they are labelled, charged and accounted for
- Oversee SIM card preparation and labelling, service provisioning and proper storage
- Liaise with project, provisioning and testing teams as needed
- Maintain order and cleanliness in the test area
- Assist with tracking defect tickets using Jira (depending on experience)
- Support in collating and documenting test results
- Execute high-volume testing on mobile and fixed-line services and log results accurately
Job Requirements:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel
- Confident using IT systems and tools
- Able to start early in the morning (before 8am) to prepare for daily testing activities
- Interest in mobile technology and willingness to support change initiatives
- Previous experience working in a testing or technical environment is desirable but not essential
