Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Private Client to join their dynamic team in a hybrid work environment. This permanent position plays a crucial role in overseeing a dedicated team, ensuring the delivery of a professional administration service to both existing and prospective clients. The successful candidate will be instrumental in aligning the team's strategy with the overall strategic objectives set by the Group Board while fostering teamwork and championing high standards of client care.
Job Duties:
- Proactively manage the operation of the Private Client division, ensuring a professional service to clients and intermediaries.
- Analyse team performance to inform strategic planning and the formulation of the division’s annual business plan.
- Align the team’s strategy with overall company objectives and KPIs set by the Group.
- Oversee administration, timely billing, and fee collection within the team’s client portfolio.
- Act as the “Manager” for appropriate client entities, upholding standards of corporate governance.
- Participate in internal business development meetings, identifying potential opportunities within the portfolio and introducing new business where possible.
- Respond to new business enquiries promptly, ensuring accurate pricing and promoting group services effectively.
- Attend client meetings on-site and off-site, which may require occasional travel outside the Channel Islands.
- Develop and retain a strong client base and provide a high standard of client care.
- Ensure adherence to risk and compliance procedures related to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
- Oversee the review of complex client structures with a focus on risk exposure.
- Guide the team on reporting unusual transactions.
- Train, develop, and motivate team members, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
- Conduct monthly team meetings and annual appraisals, setting SMART objectives for senior staff.
- Participate in the recruitment process for new hires.
- Maintain continuous professional development in line with qualification requirements.
- Inspire and motivate the team to adhere to the Group’s core values and stakeholder culture.
- Fulfil any other duties as required by Management or the Group Board.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in managing and mentoring a team.
- Strong team player with the ability to motivate and lead by example.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and team management skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Relevant client-facing experience.
- Professionally qualified (STEP/ICSA/ACCA or equivalent).
