Our client is expanding and is seeking a Trainee Trust Administrator to join their team. This entry-level position provides a fantastic opportunity for bright individuals to gain comprehensive experience within a Guernsey-based trust company. The Trainee Trust Administrator will assist in the administration of various trust and company arrangements in line with Guernsey laws and regulations. With ongoing training and support, the successful candidate will develop expertise in trust pension administration and progress towards independently managing client portfolios.
Job Duties:
- Assist with the day-to-day administration of trusts, companies, and foundations, including maintaining client records and preparing correspondence.
- Prepare payments on various banking platforms.
- Draft routine minutes and standard correspondence under the supervision of senior team members.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on clients and trust and company assets within the company database.
- Assist with scanning, filing of documents, and emails.
- Support compliance tasks, including gathering and processing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of regulatory forms as required by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC).
- Record chargeable time on the company database.
- Respond to routine client inquiries, ensuring high levels of customer service and professionalism.
- Ensure all administrative processes comply with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct regular reviews of client accounts to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Develop an understanding of Guernsey’s fiduciary responsibilities, tax regulations, and pension laws.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of GCSEs or equivalent, with strong grades in English and Mathematics; A-Level candidates preferred.
- Interest in pursuing professional qualifications such as ICSA, STEP, or relevant pension certifications.
- Previous office experience or an internship in financial, legal, or administrative roles is preferred but not essential.
