Director of Fund Accounting & Corporate Services

Our client is seeking a skilled Director of Fund Accounting & Corporate Services to lead their client accounting function for fund and corporate services. This full-time position involves translating business strategy into operational plans and ensuring high-quality financial reporting. The role entails managing accounting teams, standardising processes, and serving as a technical expert across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior management to ensure compliance with accounting requirements while fostering a collaborative and open culture.

Job Duties:

  • Translate business segment strategy into functional plans and guide their execution.
  • Oversee the accounting function for various client types, utilising standardised KRI and KPI reporting.
  • Direct the development of new policies and ideas while adhering to existing principles within the client accounting functional area.
  • Design and implement efficient processes and procedures to enhance group-wide consistency.
  • Develop and refine Allvue system and reporting to meet clients’ reporting requirements efficiently.
  • Provide leadership and direction to client accounting teams, maximising efficiency and quality.
  • Deliver training on new policies and procedures across the client accounting teams.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for all client accounting teams.

Job Requirements:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ICAEW) or equivalent by experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience within a multidisciplinary fiduciary service provider.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams with strong persuasion and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, regulations, and legislation affecting client servicing.
  • Proficiency in Allvue or similar fund accounting software, with the ability to enhance system functionality.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Outstanding quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
