Accounts Administrator

Our client is seeking a diligent Accounts Administrator to join their dynamic accounts team. This role is full-time and integral to managing the company’s accounts payable and receivable. The successful candidate will contribute to the meticulous review and reconciliation of accounts, ensuring timely processing of payments to external parties, and maintaining up-to-date records of invoices and receipts. Alongside these responsibilities, the role involves providing general administrative support to the accounts team, ensuring efficient team operations.

Job Duties:

  • Process Premium Funding agreements, updating information and performing all necessary checks.
  • Manage direct debits through the internal software system and upload them to the online processing website.
  • Handle direct debit cancellations and amendments, sending accompanying letters as needed.
  • Process customer payments promptly and accurately.
  • Provide cover for Loan Payaway, conducting thorough checks of all loan documents and files prior to payment.
  • Record invoices and payments efficiently.
  • Undertake daily bank reconciliations to ensure account accuracy.
  • Assist the accounts department with general administrative duties such as compiling and maintaining spreadsheets, filing, processing internal/external mail, and drafting letters.
  • Manage travel bookings when required.
  • Cover reception duties during holidays and sickness.
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by the Directors to support the effective functioning of all areas.
  • Exhibit role model behaviour with a proactive attitude towards work, continuously supporting team members.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an accounts administrator or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Minimum Grade C in Maths and English.
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly advanced skills in Excel (ability to use formulas and create spreadsheets).
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Excellent data entry capabilities.
