Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join their dynamic Fund Accounting team, offering full-time engagement with exciting opportunities in the private capital sector. This crucial role involves providing comprehensive fund valuation and accounting services while ensuring compliance with all relevant fund documentation, legal and regulatory requirements, and accounting standards. The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager and will play a vital role in delivering services that align with client SLAs, while consistently meeting internal and external deadlines.
Job Duties:
- Prepare, review, and analyse monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual financial statements with supporting documentation under various accounting standards (including IFRS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP).
- Prepare monthly valuations and reconciliation of fund draw-downs, distributions, accruals, and expenses.
- Input double-entry bookkeeping into the accounting system.
- Assist in the cash reconciliation and management for the funds.
- Prepare drawdown, equalisation, and distribution calculations in accordance with fund documentation.
- Prepare fund investor capital statements as required.
- Prepare fund and investor IRR calculations as needed.
- Attend client and audit meetings regarding the provision of financial statements to investors.
- Liaise with various external and internal parties (e.g., clients, external auditors) for day-to-day fund accounting and customised reporting projects.
- Assist with year-end/interim audit processes and provide inputs for process review to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Execute group project opportunities related to implementation of new systems or platforms and appropriate operational procedures.
Job Requirements:
- An excellent working knowledge of various private capital fund structures (GP/LP/Feeder) and the accounting requirements for these structures.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, UK GAAP, and IFRS.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel and Word.
