Senior Private Client Accounting Officer

Our client is a young and experienced independent Fiduciary and Fund administration business based in Guernsey, specialising in the Venture Capital sector. The Senior Private Client Accounting Officer will support the Fiduciary team by providing day-to-day accounting services in a full-time role.

Job Duties:

  • Book-keeping and accounts preparation for a mixed portfolio of clients from various jurisdictions
  • Provide cover and support for other accountants
  • Ensure processes and controls are followed
  • Manage workloads to meet required minimum chargeability
  • Calculate accruals and prepayments
  • Reconcile investment portfolios, dividends, and withholding tax
  • Identify and escalate issues related to accounts preparation
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with relevant agreements
  • Review financial statements prepared by others for quality control
  • Provide accounting support to the administrative team
  • Assist in planning workloads to comply with external reporting requirements
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports for client or board meetings as needed
  • Liaise with tax advisors for annual tax reporting preparation
  • Input daily exchange rates
  • Assist with financial data input for new entities
  • Prepare quarterly reconciliation of share certificates
  • Generate monthly/quarterly management accounts when required
  • Accurately complete timesheets to ensure clients are billed correctly
  • Deliver well-presented accounts within agreed deadlines

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ industry experience
  • Part qualified or qualified accountant
  • Strong systems knowledge and experience
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer literacy and problem-solving abilities
  • A self-starter who can work independently and under pressure
