Our client is seeking a Senior Consultant in Financial Reporting, you will join the Private Equity Operations team, where a vacancy has arisen. This role is full-time and offers the opportunity to work with a variety of Private Equity clients, ensuring that deliverables are met effectively. You will play a crucial role as a key member of the administration team, while also providing support to the wider team responsible for either a range of clients or a substantial client with an active investment portfolio. Your responsibilities will include liaising with internal teams and the Investment Advisor, completing various non-accounting tasks, and addressing ad-hoc queries all within scheduled timeframes. You will be committed to meeting client KPIs and delivering exceptional client service.
Job Duties:
- Provide premier client service by building strong relationships with clients and third parties.
- Develop thorough knowledge of client requirements and key processes to resolve complex issues.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful delivery of client deliverables.
- Oversee the delivery of key client tasks, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Manage projects with clients on complex tasks while understanding fund administration.
- Monitor assigned mailboxes and complete tasks as directed by management.
- Support the training of junior team members and aid in workload management.
- Review junior team members' work to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Prepare and review complex accounts under various GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Update and maintain investment and portfolio records, processing purchases and disposals.
- Calculate call/distribution amounts for clients, liaising with investors and financial institutions.
- Develop client-specific knowledge to facilitate responses to ad-hoc queries.
- Deliver common reporting for investors, ensuring data accuracy.
- Provide information for tax returns and liaise with internal and external tax professionals.
- Organise accounting team deliverables, adhering to agreed timetables and maintaining communication.
- Identify efficiencies and areas for improvement to enhance operational processes.
- Work closely with legal and compliance to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and efficiently address queries and concerns.
Job Requirements:
- Hold an accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA preferred) and have a familiarity with UK, US, and Lux GAAPs.
- Partially qualified candidates or those with at least 2 years of relevant experience, particularly in debt instruments, are also welcome to apply.
- Possess an understanding of Guernsey Company/POI/Partnership laws with the ability to stay updated on legal developments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with confidence in engaging with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to manage deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of Investran is advantageous.
- Demonstrate a good team spirit, self-motivation, flexibility, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Exhibit professional judgement and a thorough self-review of work.
