Temporary Assistant Management Accountant - 6 months

Our client is a global leader in the superyacht industry, engaging in various business lines including sale and purchase, new construction, charter, and yacht management. With branches serving clients in major international locations, the organisation has built an impressive client list and prioritises delivering the highest quality of service. They are currently seeking a temporary Assistant Management Accountant for a period of six months. The role involves working closely with the HR and Payroll team to prepare and issue invoices, as well as updating yacht Accounts Receivable ledgers. The position provides an opportunity to assist in the preparation of monthly and annual management accounts, and includes responsibilities such as processing receipts in compliance with company procedures. The successful candidate will engage in daily bank reconciliations and liaise directly with senior colleagues in an international team. Job Duties:

  • Prepare and issue invoices based on information provided by the HR and Payroll team
  • Update yacht Accounts Receivable ledgers
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual management accounts
  • Prepare and post accruals and prepayments
  • Process receipts in accordance with compliance procedures
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations
  • Regularly interact with HR and Payroll departments
  • Liaise directly with senior colleagues and an international team
  • Input and support the budgeting process
  • Assist HR and Payroll with accounting requirements
  • Consistently apply accounting best practices
  • Provide ad hoc reporting as required

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience within a finance function
  • AAT, ACA, CIMA or part qualified in a related qualification is desirable
  • Experience of taking accounts up to trial balance, and posting prepayments and accruals
  • Previous use of Sage X3 is highly desirable
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to engage across all levels of the business
