Our client is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join their Financial Intermediaries Team. This role is designed to complement the Team and enhance its proposition through a collaborative approach. The key responsibilities centre around developing and enhancing relationships within the Trust and Corporate Service Provider market, ensuring strong risk management practices are maintained for the client base. The successful candidate will selectively develop relationships with Isle of Man financial intermediaries, establish client contact strategies, and ensure the delivery of exceptional service at all times. Compliance with legal and regulatory environments is crucial, along with adherence to internal policies and procedures. Performance will be measured against personal targets that align with the overall strategy of the organisation. The individual will also collaborate closely with various teams to strengthen existing client relationships and create new business opportunities.
Job Duties:
- Develop client contact strategies to meet personal targets and objectives that align with the organisation's strategy and risk appetite.
- Ensure exceptional service is provided to clients consistently.
- Complete all necessary risk management activities for the client portfolio in accordance with the organisation's policies and processes.
- Self-initiate relationship development and management, including contact strategies with existing and potential clients.
- Strengthen existing client relationships while identifying diversified income stream opportunities, such as lending, deposits, foreign exchange, custody, and wealth management.
- Facilitate inter-team referrals and identify opportunities to pass to relevant departments within the organisation.
- Assess financial performance and key measures promptly, addressing any shortcomings as necessary.
- Work closely with New Business, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure all account opening and client risk assessments comply with AML/CFT procedures.
- Deliver outstanding service to clients and support the Team's client entertainment programme, attending events outside of core working hours as required.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inform and negotiate effectively.
- Strong evaluation skills to understand client needs and develop tailored solutions.
- High levels of interpersonal skills and strong influencing capabilities.
- Proficient in maintaining accuracy and personal organisation with proven time management skills.
- Experience in sales, business development, and relationship management is essential.
- Good understanding of treasury, capital markets, and lending operations.
- Knowledge of investment markets, including bonds, equities, and structured solutions.
- Exposure to management of regulatory risk within a financial institution.
- Self-motivated, driven, and goal-orientated with an ability to self-initiate follow-up sales activities.
- Familiarity with the operations of the organisation and the relevant legal and regulatory environment.
- Detailed understanding of the banking product suite and service delivery mechanisms.
