Senior Administrator, New Business

Our client is seeking a Senior Administrator for their New Business team to assist the Manager and Supervisor in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external clients. This role is vital for processing requests within specified servicing times, ensuring that service standards are achieved, maintained, and continuously improved in line with operational objectives. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in Financial Services and will play a key part in mentoring junior staff while managing workloads effectively. You will be expected to provide in-depth training and feedback to enhance team productivity, all while adhering to regulatory legislation. The position requires excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail, as well as a strong understanding of the team's processes and procedures.

Job Duties:

  • Assist the Manager and Supervisor with daily operations of the Welcome & New Business Teams.
  • Ensure all requests are processed within specified service levels.
  • Monitor the workload of the team and raise concerns regarding high volumes.
  • Provide training and support to junior members on team processes.
  • Offer solutions to identified issues within the team’s workload.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory legislation.
  • Contribute to the quarterly update of the Skills Matrix for team members.
  • Mentor new team members to help them identify and work on their personal development goals.
  • Review and maintain departmental procedure notes regularly.
  • Cross-train and assist in other teams within Customer Services as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Financial Services.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in drafting basic correspondence.
  • Background in a customer-facing administration role.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • High level of accuracy while meeting service standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid understanding of customer service principles.
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
