Service Improvement Specialist

Our client is seeking a Service Improvement Specialist for a permanent, full-time role based in the Isle of Man. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive IT support across multiple sites, specialising in Intune, Virtual Desktops, and Microsoft OS support. This dynamic position requires robust technical skills, particularly in VMware and Microsoft Server administration, and a genuine passion for IT support. The ideal candidate should be open to on-site visits, possess excellent communication skills, and be willing to travel to other offices when necessary. Working within a collaborative environment, the Service Improvement Specialist will assist various levels of staff, from graduates to Directors, ensuring effective support and seamless operations. The role includes tackling technical challenges, implementing solutions, and maintaining high standards in user engagement.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver technical support across multiple sites, addressing requests from various levels of the organisation.
  • Provide assistance in Microsoft Server build, migration, and ongoing support.
  • Maintain and support desktop virtualisation solutions.
  • Support and troubleshoot backup technologies and processes.
  • Collaborate with teams across various locations to provide effective IT support.
  • Engage with individuals at all levels, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Exhibit a passion for in-house IT support and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Be open to travelling to other offices to support additional sites as required.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support roles, with strong experience in Microsoft Server administration and VMware technologies.
  • Excellent skills in deploying and managing Intune.
  • Familiarity with backup solutions and a wide application of support is desired.
  • Experience with technologies such as Dell backup and replication, Dell storage, and VDI solutions is advantageous.
  • Strong 1st and 2nd line support experience is essential.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with diverse user bases.
  • Relevant IT education qualifications at GCSE/A Level (Grades A-C).
