Temporary Senior Project Manager - 12 months

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to spearhead the implementation of major projects and minor modifications aimed at enhancing their digital banking platforms and innovative card propositions. In this role, the successful candidate will deliver projects on time, within quality standards and scope, utilising best practices in Agile project management. The position involves engaging with and leading cross-functional teams, as well as managing the direct team to create scalable business solutions. Once applications and solutions are live, the Project Manager will also oversee the existing technology estate ensuring that systems remain resilient, reliable, and secure while delivering significant value for clients. The ideal candidate must possess substantial experience in leading and coordinating large-scale strategic projects.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct pre-analysis of project or small enhancement scope, including deliverables and timelines to determine feasibility and the potential impact on overall strategic objectives.
  • Develop project dashboards and reports that provide accurate information regarding ongoing progress, risks, and impact of projects for timely decision-making.
  • Drive the development of change plans, including communication, training, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring to ensure effective implementation of solutions.
  • Implement necessary information management processes and systems to manage all project information and documents in accordance with organisational and regulatory standards.
  • Adopt delivered solutions into business as usual, ensuring all required documentation is completed and submitting a close-out report that includes lessons learnt, final financial calculations, and realisation of project benefits.
  • Maintain and improve solutions throughout their lifecycle.

Job Requirements:

  • First Degree or Professional qualification in Business Commerce or Project Management (preferred).
  • Post Graduate Degree in Business Commerce or Project Management (advantageous).
  • 8-10 years significant experience in end-to-end management of large-scale strategic projects through leadership and coordination of a large project team.
  • Demonstrated ability to adopt practical approaches and embrace change.
  • Proficient in project management, planning, reporting, and resourcing.
