Senior Bookkeeper

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Bookkeeper to provide high‑quality bookkeeping services within their client accounting function. The successful individual will support a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting. The role involves managing regular reconciliations, preparing periodic statements, and undertaking various ad‑hoc accounting tasks as required. Our client requires someone who can work efficiently within a fast‑paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail. The Senior Bookkeeper will also be responsible for daily time recording and ensuring all work complies with internal policies and professional standards. Job Duties:

  • Deliver bookkeeping services for clients within the jurisdiction.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of client ledger accounts against third‑party records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual and ad‑hoc financial statements for allocated clients.
  • Complete assigned ad‑hoc tasks as directed by the reporting line.
  • Record time entries daily within the time‑billing system.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as required in line with the evolving needs of the role and team.
  • Adhere to internal policies, procedures and professional conduct standards.
  • Uphold organisational values including client focus, excellence in execution, integrity, innovation, value, development and leadership.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years’ relevant experience within a financial services environment.
  • A solid understanding of trust and company accounting principles.
  • Ideally holds a professional bookkeeping or accounting qualification, or an applicable exemption.
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and similar software.
  • Experience using databases such as Unity is advantageous.
  • A good understanding of corporate and trust structures.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong awareness of AML legislation relevant to the role.
  • Understanding of internal procedures relevant to assigned work.
  • Excellent knowledge of double‑entry bookkeeping.
