Senior Fund Administrator

Our client is seeking a Senior Administrator to join their Fund Administration team. This role is crucial for assisting in the delivery of fund administration activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Senior Administrator will play a vital role in the efficient processing of fund transactions and the associated corporate governance requirements. The successful candidate will support day-to-day operations, enhance client and stakeholder relationship management, and contribute to a high-quality service delivery. This position is suited for individuals looking to deepen their experience in fund structures and administration processes. The role involves a range of responsibilities, including working collaboratively within the team, managing multiple tasks, and contributing to ad-hoc projects. Candidates should possess a proactive attitude and exhibit exceptional attention to detail.

Job Duties:

  • Assist the fund administration team with day-to-day tasks across all aspects of service delivery, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, NAV calculations, and key reports for clients.
  • Review and reconcile fund transactions, including investments, expenses, cash flows, and banking transactions.
  • Ensure adherence to legal, tax, and regulatory requirements as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Prepare governance and secretarial materials, organise board meetings, and assist with post-meeting actions including minute production.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to address queries and ensure their needs are met effectively.
  • Utilise technology to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Support the onboarding of new client entities and manage new business take-on processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local financial services regulations and maintain completion of mandatory training.
  • Promote the development of junior staff and team members.
  • Manage financial discipline, including timely completion of timesheets, client billing, and debt collection.
  • Stay updated on market trends, regulatory developments, and client needs to ensure competitiveness.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in fund administration, accounting, or related financial services roles.
  • Progression towards obtaining a professional qualification or willingness to pursue one.
  • Integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, effective in dealing with various levels of staff and clients.
  • Proactive, solution-focused, and capable of managing personal workload.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to achieve deadlines amidst competing operational considerations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and fund administration systems.
  • General understanding of the Guernsey tax, legal, and regulatory framework.
