Manager, Tax Compliance and Regulatory Reporting

Our client is seeking a qualified Manager for their Tax Compliance and Regulatory Reporting department. This permanent position operates within a hybrid workplace structure. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the regulatory reporting department's operations, ensuring comprehensive services are provided to clients both internal and external. Duties will include planning, delegating, coaching, and controlling workloads while maintaining a professional service standard. Additionally, the candidate will oversee FATCA/CRS returns and provide technical input into the Entity Close Off/Transfer process. The role requires managing and coordinating the Regulatory Reporting process, ensuring regular updates on report statuses and deadlines are communicated to clients. Furthermore, the candidate will lead the review and implementation of new regulatory reporting legislation and strategies, aiding clients in compliance while also developing training materials. Support and mentorship to team members is essential, fostering a collaborative and fulfilling team environment.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee the regulatory reporting department operation, ensuring a professional service is provided.
  • Manage FATCA/CRS returns and support stakeholders with AEOI queries.
  • Coordinate the Regulatory Reporting process, providing status updates to clients.
  • Review new regulatory reporting legislation and implement strategies for compliance.
  • Assess performance of regulatory reporting team members, promoting company spirit.
  • Assist senior management in identifying tax risks and developing solutions.
  • Ensure timely communication regarding new business enquiries and available resources.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and produce associated reports as required.
  • Adhere to risk and compliance procedures related to regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in alignment with qualifications.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified or part-qualified ACCA / ICAEW / ICAS / ATT/CTA (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in AEOI regimes.
  • Previous line management experience is an advantage.
  • Experience managing FATCA/CRS return preparation and submission.
  • Familiarity with various regulatory reporting regimes is beneficial.
  • Pro-active self-starter with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent time management skills.
  • Experience in project management with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to guide, coach, and mentor junior colleagues.
