Manager, Asset Services

Our client is seeking a Manager, Asset Services who will be responsible for leading an operational team function and managing operational risk while ensuring data integrity. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of operational procedures and the capability to develop and implement strategic initiatives. The role involves driving process improvements and making informed decisions that impact Wealth Management Europe (WME) Operations. The successful candidate will manage all team activities, ensure adherence to HR processes, and promote team engagement. Our client is dedicated to fostering a positive working environment and expects the manager to exemplify group values while encouraging team members to voice their ideas for the benefit of the organization. This role is primarily office-based with flexibility to work up to one day remotely per week, depending on working arrangements.

Job Duties:

  • Accountable for maintaining and adhering to procedures, ensuring high levels of accuracy and timely service delivery in accordance with WME Operations standards and SLAs.
  • Review and approve departmental procedures to comply with regulatory and audit requirements, while managing agreed timelines.
  • Ensure timely escalation of issues and proactively support the resolution of risks.
  • Set a clear direction and purpose aligned with group strategy for the operational team.
  • Ensure understanding and adherence to Risk and Control and Policy Frameworks specific to the role in WME Operations.
  • Drive a culture of simplification and innovation through continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaborate with Operations Initiatives to ensure adequate resources for the change portfolio to support deliverables.

Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience and understanding of the Financial Sector.
  • Proven experience in a people management role, with a focus on coaching and development.
  • High level of IT proficiency.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability to change and experience in leading teams through transitions.
  • Strong motivational skills with the ability to take initiative.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills for effective planning and organisation.
  • Strong client-focused approach.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adjust messaging for diverse internal and external stakeholders.
