Our client is seeking a Temporary Customer Greeter to provide an efficient and professional support service to customers inquiring about the purchasing of products and services. This role involves managing a customer waiting list to ensure all customers are attended to by a member of the sales or support team promptly. The successful candidate will communicate estimated wait times clearly and create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting customers with confidence and warmth. This full-time position requires working 37.5 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 9am and 5.30pm. The role will be based at a retail location. Strong customer service skills, a passion for technology, and the ability to handle difficult situations are essential for success in this role.
Job Duties:
- Arrive at work in a timely manner for daily staff briefings prior to shop opening.
- Provide a professional sales service to all customers.
- Strive for customer excellence by always greeting customers with a smile and offering honest information.
- Ensure each customer leaves having met their needs or with the understanding of the process.
- Equip customers with the information necessary to make informed decisions.
- Become fully competent in the use of computerised systems and applications relevant to the sales process after training.
- Offer ongoing support for all products and services available, through face-to-face, email, and telephone contact, resolving queries and complaints within one working day.
- Participate in any required training sessions.
- Respond to customer requirements effectively while being aware of the company's commercial objectives.
- Safeguard the company from potential legal action.
- As determined by the Retail Sales Manager, work selected Thursday nights and Sundays during the Christmas trading period from November 1st to December 31st.
- Understand and comply with relevant licensing and regulatory rules, Data Protection Law, and Health and Safety responsibilities.
- Undertake appropriate security awareness training covering information security, data protection, and financial crime.
