Temporary Accountant - 18 months

Our client is seeking a Temporary Accountant for an 18-month Fixed Term Contract. This role is critical in supporting the financial operations of the organisation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The successful candidate will assist senior accountants in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, collaborating with various departments to guarantee accurate financial information. This position offers the opportunity to work within a leading Africa-focused financial services group, valued for their commitment to fostering growth in Africa. Candidates must hold residency and the right to work in Jersey, as the role is not open to relocation. Job Duties:

• Assist in managing the company's financial operations and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
• Aid in the preparation of tax filings, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
• Support the monitoring and analysis of financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions to drive financial growth and profitability.

Job Requirements:

• Post Graduate Degree in Finance and Accounting
• Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) – Required
• 5 - 7 years of experience in Finance & Value Management, with expertise across the Finance and Accounting value chain.
