Temporary Finance Administrator

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Administrator to support their Finance team with a broad range of administrative and billing-related tasks. This temporary role is crucial for ensuring billing accuracy, maintaining financial records, and facilitating smooth financial operations across the business. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels, and comfortable working with financial systems and CRM platforms. This position is not eligible for work permit applications. The role encompasses a variety of tasks, including liaising with practice leads to set up billing systems accurately, updating existing financial records, and supporting the month-end billing processes. Furthermore, the candidate will monitor accounts receivable, chase outstanding invoices, and assist with payment reconciliations. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to process improvements in finance administration while ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Job Duties:

  • Liaise with practice leads to ensure the billing system is accurately set up for all new and existing projects.
  • Ensure all billable projects have the necessary documentation and approvals recorded in the CRM system.
  • Update billing systems with administrative changes (rate changes, project updates, client details, etc.).
  • Support month-end billing processes.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and aged debt reports.
  • Chase outstanding invoices in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of debtor communications.
  • Escalate overdue accounts where necessary.
  • Assist with payment allocations and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
  • Provide administrative support during audits.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports as required.
  • Support process improvements within billing and finance administration.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance team as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Able to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills.
  • Highly organised with a calm manner.
  • Positive attitude and able to handle confidential matters.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Confident using financial systems and CRM platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in an accounts/finance department is desirable, but not required.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Educated to A-level/Diploma level or equivalent.
