Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in their Private Equity Operations team. This role is a full-time position and involves working collaboratively with a global team to deliver exceptional service to a significant private equity client. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of non-accounting tasks and will oversee various aspects of accounting, ensuring that all deliverables meet scheduled timeframes and client KPIs. This position will enable you to leverage your expertise in financial services, providing support in complex transactions and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages communication and teamwork. You will play a crucial part in enhancing processes and maintaining high standards in client reporting. Job Duties:
- Demonstrating professional judgement and fostering employee participation, teamwork, and communication.
- Establishing concise timetables for all key deliverables in collaboration with clients and external parties.
- Ensuring timely adherence to set schedules by the global team and enabling proactive communication.
- Identifying and implementing system and process enhancements after necessary approvals.
- Advising on accounting issues and current best practices while providing guidance to the team and clients.
- Overseeing the preparation of financial reports and client accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Developing client-specific knowledge to address ad-hoc queries efficiently.
- Completing internal reporting as required and supporting the admin needs of the team.
- Building strong relationships with clients and third-party advisors, alongside relationship managers to arrange fee structures for new services.
- Presenting operational matters to the Board of Directors and participating in relevant meetings.
- Authorising instructions with a signature and contributing to departmental priorities.
Job Requirements:
- Hold an accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA preferred) and be familiar with GAAP and IFRS.
- Understanding of Guernsey Company, POI, and Partnership laws, and ability to stay updated with developments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with confidence in client and stakeholder interactions.
- Strong leadership attributes and change management skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to set priorities, manage deadlines, and work flexibly under pressure.
- Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of Investran would be beneficial.
- A team player, self-starter, and adaptable to changing environments.
