Transfer Agency & Fund Administration Lead – Private Equity Accounting

Our client is seeking a Transfer Agency & Fund Administration Lead within their Private Equity Accounting team. This is a leadership position with full-time engagement, responsible for overseeing all Fund Administration and Transfer Agency operations based in Guernsey. The role offers an exciting opportunity to drive strategic leadership and service delivery within the Guernsey's Private Capital business. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of PCA Guernsey and will be accountable for ensuring service excellence, operational efficiency, and effective governance. The individual will also support outsourced locations while aligning with the global operating model of the organisation. This position requires extensive collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, creating a cohesive service model for Private Capital clients. The successful applicant will be instrumental in fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning within the team. Job Duties:

  • Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for all Fund Administration and Transfer Agency services.
  • Own the end-to-end Transfer Agency operations for Guernsey funds, ensuring accountability for service levels and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish a robust governance framework for all Transfer Agency processes delegated to offshore teams.
  • Monitor service level agreements and key performance indicators, ensuring activities adhere to organisational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and corporate control frameworks, including adherence to Guernsey Financial Services Commission regulations.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Transfer Agency matters and represent the function in client meetings and regulatory engagements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver an integrated service model, promoting global best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Fund Administration and Transfer Agency team, managing performance and resource planning.
  • Champion process improvements and technology initiatives to drive operational efficiency.

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in Transfer Agency or Fund Administration, ideally within private equity or alternative asset environments.
  • Strong track record in managing service delivery in a global model with remote team collaboration experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulations pertinent to Transfer Agency and investor services, especially GFSC rules and AML/KYC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in managing organisational change or process re-engineering.
  • Professional qualifications such as ICSA.
  • Proven people management and leadership experience at a senior manager level, ideally across multiple locations.
