Assistant Manager, Fund Services

Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager in Fund Services to oversee the daily administration of a portfolio of client funds and investment structures using advanced technology. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with policies and procedures while collaborating with the management team to maintain seamless operations and deliver high-quality service to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in funds and company administration, with a particular focus on Jersey Company Law and tax considerations. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will work closely with senior management in a dynamic and supportive environment. Job Duties:

  • Manage client portfolios, supporting the team in meeting the administration and accounting needs of various funds and investment structures.
  • Administer complex entities, taking ownership of high-risk funds/entities as required.
  • Monitor and manage risk by ensuring adherence to Risk/Review procedures and escalating matters to senior management when necessary.
  • Assist team members with client relationships and attend client meetings as required.
  • Oversee team utilisation, billing, and aged debt management.
  • Ensure continuity of service during absenteeism by briefing Senior Managers/Directors.
  • Act as an authorised signatory in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in management meetings, contributing to decision-making processes.
  • Support business development by identifying new opportunities and coordinating work allocation.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing client delivery and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in funds, trust, and company administration.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fund/trust administration, Jersey Company Law, and taxation matters.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and management experience.
  • Strong IT skills and capability.
  • Effective staff management and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organisational levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Solution-focused approach to problem-solving and strong decision-making skills within corporate policies.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
