Manager, Fund Administration

Our client, an award-winning provider of private wealth, fund, and corporate administration services, is seeking a Manager for Fund Administration. This role will be integral in overseeing the administration needs of a complex range of private capital structures, including funds and corporates. The successful candidate will ensure exceptional service levels and client experience throughout the entire life-cycle of client relationships. With an emphasis on the accuracy and up-to-date status of client data, the Manager will play a crucial part in decision-making and communication processes. The position involves proactive management of Key Performance Indicators and the operational efficiency of the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on improving business processes and contributing to management meetings and projects. Additionally, this role includes responsibility for recruitment and appraisal management, developing client relationships, and enhancing the firm's profile in the industry through various engagements.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee the administration of various private capital structures and ensure exceptional client service.
  • Maintain accurate client data and facilitate effective communications.
  • Manage KPI performance across client relationships, ensuring efficiency in all activities.
  • Direct the team’s operations to guarantee quality and speed in delivering client work.
  • Review and implement changes to business processes for improved efficiency.
  • Participate actively in management meetings and departmental projects.
  • Recruit and appraise team members, providing consistent feedback and managing absence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and advisors, showcasing in-depth knowledge of client structures.
  • Establish new structures and ensure seamless transitions for client business.
  • Identify opportunities for additional revenue in collaboration with the senior team.
  • Enhance the client and company profile within the industry through active participation in events and social media.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in funds, ideally at a managerial level.
  • Proven supervisory and team management experience in a funds environment.
  • Background in fund company secretarial work at a management level or higher is preferable.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in the administration of private equity and venture capital.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and issues concurrently, including compliance and client management.
  • Experience in motivating and managing staff while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work collaboratively and under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Capability to make informed decisions within corporate policies and act as an authorised signatory.
  • Proven management experience in recruiting, retaining, and motivating team members.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information clearly to staff and clients.
  • Meets the qualification requirements outlined in the JFSC Table 4.
