Finance Manager

Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team in a permanent position. This role is essential in managing financial operations for client entities, including oversight of an accounts team responsible for around 850 entities. The successful candidate will report to the Group Head of Accounts and must possess strong skills in accounting and tax compliance. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, ensuring financial statements and tax returns are prepared accurately and submitted on time. The Finance Manager will collaborate with various internal departments and the sister company, enhancing systems and processes while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The position offers standard working hours of 09:00 to 17:00 with a one-hour lunch break.

Job Duties:

• Oversee an accounts team responsible for producing accounts for approximately 850 entities, including Trusts, Funds, and Companies.
• Review and approve financial statements and ensure sign-off on behalf of the company.
• Prepare, review, and submit financial statements and loan interest certificate confirmations as needed.
• Ensure timely completion of Guernsey Tax, UK Corporation Tax, and VAT returns.
• Implement controls to guarantee accuracy and completeness of tax entity submissions.
• Train the team on Guernsey and UK Corporation Tax requirements.
• Manage external audit processes for GFSC-regulated clients, ensuring adherence to regulatory deadlines.
• Contribute to corporate reporting functions, including monthly management accounts and annual budgeting.
• Collaborate with the sister company on financial matters and undertake additional duties as requested by management.

Job Requirements:

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and GAAP.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
