The Head of Lending is responsible for leading the credit services delivery for Wealth International (WIN) retail segments across various jurisdictions. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans and setting targets for the team to achieve business objectives, meet customer expectations, and grow market share. The successful candidate will manage a complex portfolio of assets across multiple jurisdictions and currencies while mitigating associated risks for WIN lending. As a voting member of the Offshore Credit Committee, this position requires making informed decisions on new and existing facilities. The candidate should possess a balanced understanding of holistic banking and lending management and the compliance and governance frameworks of international markets. Job Duties:
- Lead the credit services delivery for WIN retail segments across jurisdictions.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and set team targets to achieve business objectives.
- Manage a complex portfolio of assets across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
- Serve as a voting member of the Offshore Credit Committee and opine on new and existing facilities.
- Conduct annual reviews on every facility in line with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development of the Wealth International strategy, ensuring alignment with overall objectives.
- Develop and implement the annual lending strategy, communicating targets and KPIs for commercial optimisation.
- Monitor and control commercial risk exposures and adhere to credit policies.
- Identify and resolve non-routine and complex issues, providing timely solutions to wealth managers and clients.
Job Requirements:
- First Degree in Business Commerce (required).
- Post Graduate Degree in Banking (preferred).
- Post Graduate Degree in Finance and Accounting (preferred).
- 3 to 4 years of experience with a detailed understanding of the KYC/AML framework.
- Knowledge of the cross-border legal framework across target markets.
- 5 to 7 years of holistic banking and lending management experience, including multi-currency knowledge.
- Strong credit, risk, and analytical skills, with a working knowledge of land and securities law.
- Familiarity with offshore fiduciary markets in applicable jurisdictions.
- Understanding of the compliance and governance framework for international markets.
