Contract Officer, Regulatory Maintenance - 6 months

The role of temporary Officer in Regulatory Maintenance involves supporting the continued compliance and operational integrity of the island's financial services industry within a period of six months. The officer will be engaged in a full-time capacity and work closely with both external and internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth administration and ongoing maintenance of regulatory systems and processes. Key responsibilities include collecting, analysing, and compiling statistical and financial data pertaining to regulated entities, while also acting as the initial point of contact for inquiries related to the team’s activities. The successful candidate will focus on enhancing the regulatory operations, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and participate actively in change projects. This position is critical at a pivotal stage in the development of the organisation, aimed at supporting Jersey’s status as a prominent International Financial Centre. The officer will be expected to deliver accurate regulatory maintenance, adhere to established processes, and maintain strong relationships within the organisation to ensure effective execution of regulatory responsibilities.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver timely and accurate regulatory maintenance for all regulated and registered entities.
  • Collect, analyse, and collate statistical and financial data from industry and third parties.
  • Act as the first point of contact for queries relating to the team’s activities, providing high-quality support to external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all activities are completed in line with established processes, SLAs, and KPIs, demonstrating consistent quality.
  • Maintain high quality data entry and compliant records that support insight generation and trends analysis.
  • Manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Supervision to support regulatory responsibilities.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to internal processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail with excellent time management of workloads.
  • Proven track record of delivering results through teamwork.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications is essential.
  • Understanding of financial services and products, including financial statements, is desirable.
  • Motivation for continuous learning and development, with a flexible approach and aptitude for team collaboration.
