Contract Transactional Banker - 12–14 months

This role involves a fixed-term contract lasting between 12 to 14 months, requiring candidates to have residency and the right to work in Jersey, as relocation is not an option. The position centres on fulfilling and executing client demand for a designated portfolio of core high net worth accounts, ensuring optimal service and support. The incumbent will coordinate all relevant products, services, and resources to achieve defined revenue targets and maintain client satisfaction, while adhering to necessary risk and governance parameters. Ideal applicants will possess a minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in Personal and Private Banking, ideally in a client-facing environment that demands a high standard of service. A solid understanding of banking operations, administrative processes, and compliance standards is essential. The role also requires the ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication and resolution of queries.

Job Duties:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for incoming client correspondence and interactions, ensuring professional management of queries and effective communication to relevant internal parties.
  • Collaborate with operations and client services to ensure timely transaction processing, delivering the highest standards of service.
  • Prepare client correspondence and actionable items efficiently.
  • Demonstrate a proactive interest in investment products and capital allocation recommendations.
  • Assist in developing account plans to identify potential business opportunities and update the Relationship Manager on account development timely.
  • Seek relevant cross-selling opportunities to maximise revenue.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives and campaigns as required.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of client needs to respond to queries and requests (such as asset and fund transfers, credit requests) promptly, ensuring resolution of recurring issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, risk guidelines, and company policies and procedures.
  • Innovate solutions and alternative paths to optimise outcomes while managing risk.
  • Maintain a collaborative and client-focused relationship with internal stakeholders to deliver pragmatic solutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification: Diploma in Business Commerce or Finance and Accounting.
  • 3–4 years’ experience in Personal and Private Banking.
  • Proven experience in a client-facing environment fulfilling client demand.
  • Strong problem resolution skills and knowledge of products and services available to clients.
  • Experience in Wealth Management and a good grasp of operational processes.
  • Familiarity with risk and compliance standards is preferred.
